Thank you for helping shape the future of the UP Scorecard

UP Scorecard developers ran a stakeholder survey through summer 2025 and the results are in! Survey respondents came from all major stakeholder groups, the largest from the reuse sector. Interest in expanding Scorecard coverage to China and increasing granularity in the US and Europe. There is near unanimous support for PDF print outs of results; development is underway!

Extended plastic treaty talks in Geneva, Switzerland conclude without a global agreement. The proposed text would not have fulfilled the mandate to end plastic pollution considering the independent scientific evidence. UP Scorecard training helps organizations make informed packaging decisions

In 2024, food service organizations and not-for-profits participated in internal training activities introducing them to the Understanding Packaging (UP) Scorecard. These presentations provided important science-backed information about the impact of foodware and food packaging on environmental and physical health.
